Brendan Schaub duped by parody account's claims of fighter's lifetime ban at UFC Paris due to provocative behavior

Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub recently got deceived by a social media post regarding Bryan Battle. An MMA parody account claimed that due to multiple reasons, a hefty fine had been imposed on Battle after his appearance at UFC Paris and he was not allowed to compete in the country of France anymore.

The post read:

"REPORT: Bryan Battle is set to receive a $250,000 fine and a lifetime ban from competing in France from the French Athletic Commission after walking out to 'Ni***s in Paris', finishing their French fighter and flipping off the fans, per multiple sources."

Schaub mistook the parody post for a genuine one and responded to it by labeling the 30-year-old as a 'legend'.

Battle locked horns against Kevin Jousset in a welterweight showdown on the main card of UFC Paris. The event was held on Sept. 28 at the Accord Arena in Paris, France.

'The Butcher' scored an impressive TKO victory in the second round and celebrated his victory by flipping off the fans present in the arena. Battle then proceeded to provoke the crowd further with his comments in the post-fight octagon interview.

"I know y'all didn't think 'The Butcher' was gonna lose in a fist fight to a French dude."

Battle was awarded the 'Performance of the Night' bonus for his efforts and took home an additional sum of $50,000.

Brendan Schaub shares his thoughts on The Sphere

UFC recently made several headlines by hosting the Noche UFC 306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. The arena provided a unique visual experience to fans present at the venue.

But Brendan Schaub was not a big fan of the venue. In an episode of Thiccc Boy, 'Big Brown' compared it to a jungle-themed American restaurant chain called Rainforest Cafe.

"You know what it is? The Sphere. It's like the Rainforest Cafe, it looks f**king great but the product was s**t... UFC doing events at The Sphere is like the Rainforest Cafe, it looks great, a fun experience but the actual product sucks. I would rather watch great fights at the APEX Center, I don't need all that."
