British slugger Jacob Smith says he's more prepared heading into Rodtang rematch in Atlanta: "I'm better equipped"

British Muay Thai star Jacob Smith is banking on the experience he has accrued under the ONE Championship banner, as he attempts to dethrone ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE 169: Atlanta on Nov. 8 inside the State Farm Arena.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, the Liverpool native stated:

"This time, I'm a lot better, I'm better equipped. And this is my fourth fight in them gloves now, and I know exactly what I'm doing in them gloves."

Smith was welcomed to world's largest martial arts promotion by 'The Iron Man' at ONE 157 in May 2022, where they faced each other in the quarterfinal of the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix Championship.

Despite a courageous effort against the Thai hero, which garnered him massive fan support inside the sold-out Singapore Indoor Stadium, Smith ultimately came up short after a thrilling nine-minute contest.

The 31-year-old then bounced back with a masterful first-round knockout of Walter Goncalves in Dec. 2023, but was handed his second loss under the ONE banner at the hands of Denis Puric at ONE Fight Night 21 this past April.
