Brooklyn's Georgian residents celebrate Merab Dvalishvili's UFC success on the streets in heartwarming tribute to the champion [VIDEO]

UFC bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili's recent victory has brought delight to numerous Georgian MMA fans. The celebration of 'The Machine's victory is not limited to citizens of Georgia alone.

Georgian residents living in Brooklyn, New York were also seen celebrating the 33-year-old's UFC title victory. Dvalishvili recently uploaded a video to his social media accounts that featured him parading his UFC title in the streets of Brooklyn. In the clip, 'The Machine' is visibly surrounded by fans who are carrying and waving the Georgian flag.

In the caption of the post, Dvalishvili wrote:

"Thank you to the Georgian community of Brooklyn. I appreciate all the love and support."

Dvalishvili went up against Sean O'Malley for the bantamweight throne on Sept. 14. The two fighters headlined the highly anticipated Noche UFC 306 event that took place at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fight turned out to be a mostly one-sided affair as Dvalishvili used his grappling prowess to outclass O'Malley for the majority of the fight. The contest eventually went the five-round distance and ended with a unanimous decision victory for 'The Machine'. The three judges scored the bout 49-46, 48-47 and 48-47 in favor of Dvalishvili.


What's next for Merab Dvalishvili in the UFC?

Since Merab Dvalishvili's victory at Noche UFC 306, MMA fans have started speculating as to who could face him in 'The Machine's first title defense. Many believe that Umar Nurmagomedov might be next in line for a shot at the bantamweight gold. Although no announcement for the same has been made by the UFC.

Dvalishvili recently uploaded a post where he weighed in on his fighting future. The 33-year-old said that he is willing to fight anyone the UFC matched him up against.

"Guys - I hear all of you! I am a company man. Whoever the UFC puts in front of me, I will fight as I always do, even if I don't think they deserve the next shot. Let's go."
