Bruce Buffer reacts to news of Jon Jones out of title fight against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295
Bruce Buffer recently reacted to the news of Jon Jones officially being out of his heavyweight title fight against Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 295, which takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 11.
UFC CEO Dana White made the announcement on social media that 'Bones' suffered a pectoral injury that will require surgery. As a result, an interim heavyweight champion will be crowned as Sergei Pavlovich will now fight Tom Aspinall in the co-main event and the vacant light heavyweight title bout between Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira has now been promoted to the main event.
Bruce Buffer took to his Instagram account, where he shared the news regarding the changes made to UFC 295. The longtime voice of the octagon shared a similar reaction to the MMA community as he insinuated that Jon Jones withdrawing from the event was devastating.
He wrote:
"Jones is out of UFC 295 [shake head emoji]"
It remains to be seen whether the winner of the interim heavyweight championship bout between Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall will defend the title against Stipe Miocic or wait for the UFC to reschedule Jon Jones vs. Miocic in 2024.
