Bryce Mitchell thanks Michael Bisping for allowing him to speak his mind after going nuclear on "lying rat" Elon Musk
UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell can make headlines for weeks by simply opening his mouth. The out-spoken right-wing conservative recently made his feelings known regarding the advancements of brain-computer interfaces led by Elon Musk's Neuralink company.
Currently, Neuralink is focused on empowering those with disabilities to control electronic devices via microchips called implantable brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) implanted in their brains. This is just the tip of the iceberg as Neuralink and Musk look to break new ground in medicine, communications, and neurotechnology.
To Mitchell, a conservative Christian and a firm believer in the scriptures of the Bible, this is a definite "Signs of the Times". He saw the BCIs as the "Mark of the Beast" and said it would become a way for Elon Musk to have control over the world.
Appearing in an online interview with Michael Bisping and Paul Felder, 'Thug Nasty' seemingly ranted about Musk. The near-two-minute verbal avalanche was cut and posted by MMA Orbit on X, which Mitchell reposted with the caption:
"Thank u for allowin me to speak my mind @bisping"
Examining Bryce Mitchell's anti-Elon Musk rant
In the video interview with Bisping and Felder, 'Thug Nasty' went rather nasty on Elon Musk and Neuralink, seeing parallels between their technologies and some of the scriptures in the Book of Revelation. Mitchell said:
"That chip is the Mark of the Beast and I'm telling you, that is the type of technology that the Antichrist is going to put in people. When you start getting these chips in the head, they're going to mark everything you buy, everything you sell..Basically it's going to be communism like that world's never seen."
Mitchell continued:
"I'm telling you, the future of technology is a few humans are going to use it to control the rest of humans. And that's what's happening. The Bible has said that for thousands of years. And now we're seeing it. And when you see a guy like Elon Musk putting chips in people's brains acting like he's a doctor. His cars suck, he's never been to space. He can't go to space. He can't break the firmament. He knows the earth is flat. He's lying rat bastard."
Meanwhile, Mitchell will face fellow submission specialist Kron Gracie on the main card of UFC 310 this weekend.
