"Called me a wh*re" - Nina-Marie Daniele reveals Sean Strickland's wild accusations at her in first-ever interview
Sean Strickland and Nina-Marie Daniele have come a long way to become the dynamic duo that the MMA community has grown fond of. They have developed a certain reputation as banter buddies and serve up hilarious content that has been a breath of fresh air for fight fans.
It's a commonly accepted notion that the true persona of fighters is seemingly confined by the boundaries of monotonous and repetitive questioning from MMA journalists. Moreover, the interviews can be dull in the context of the fighter grappling with pre-fight jitters or enduring weight cuts. However, Daniele's offbeat interview approach has been a welcome relief for many fighters, including Strickland.
The American recently took to X to reveal why he has developed a friendly relationship with Daniele, writing:
"The first interview I did with her she didn't ask me one question about MMA and we clicked. I got tired of the same repetitive questions... This is why @ninamdrama is successful. MMA journalism is dead. I want to fight for the belt.. done. No interview! The UFC strips the identity of their fighters so they're easy to replace. Nina gives fighters a spotlight to be more than just a logo."

Daniele, meanwhile, touched upon Strickland's wild accusations during their first interview and how their relationship has grown over time. She wrote:
"In the first interview we ever did, Sean called me a wh*re and said I slept with Jon Jones for the interview and I told him he gets a chub while sucking in the souls of his opponent by submitting them from behind. It’s been history ever since. The two most unlikely people to become friends LOL. @SStricklandMMA is a real one!"
