"Calling out ppl that use PEDs shouldn't offend you" - Aljamain Sterling reacts to Sean O'Malley and Conor McGregor's exchange on X
Conor McGregor and Sean O'Malley share a mercurial relationship dynamic and former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling weighed in on their recent exchange. The pair have often engaged in several clashes on social media despite contending that there's an element of mutual respect between them.
It all started when O'Malley discussed a recent study by Jeff Novitzky, the Senior Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance for the UFC, on his podcast. The study touched upon the possibility of whether Ostarine, a banned substance, can be transferred through sweat.
Back in 2019, O'Malley was temporarily suspended due to trace amounts of the prohibited substance found in his system. 'Suga' correlated the study with the trace level found in his system which seemingly triggered a derisive reaction from McGregor.
That reaction was enough to provoke a fiery response from O'Malley, who called the Irishman "a b*tch" and a "drug addict." While he clarified that he's still a fan of 'The Notorious', he asserted that the former UFC two-division champion isn't in the "GOAT" discussions anymore.

Sterling, who dropped the bantamweight strap to O'Malley at UFC 292, reacted to the exchange in an Instagram post by MMA Fighting, seemingly hurling a verbal dig at 'Suga', writing:
"Calling out [people] that use PEDs shouldn’t offend you."

Earlier this year, McGregor lambasted O'Malley in a tweet aimed at boxing star Ryan Garcia amid reports of the boxer failing drug tests. The Irishman referenced O'Malley's struggle with the same banned substance.
The comment from one of his "idols" made O'Malley shed his adoration for the Irish star and fire back with equal force. However, McGregor later clarified that the attack on O'Malley was merely a ricochet of his frustration over Garcia's failed test.

When Sean O'Malley claimed that he wants Michael Chandler to "sleep" Conor McGregor
Sean O'Malley's reverence for Conor McGregor is well-advertised. Or at least it was since the latest interactions suggest a shift in that dynamic.
McGregor was scheduled to take on Michael Chandler at UFC 303. However, a broken toe forced 'The Notorious' to pull out from the encounter. However, in the leadup to the clash, while fellow fighters were making their picks for the clash, O'Malley sided with Chandler.
The reason for his reaction stemmed from McGregor's inclusion of the UFC bantamweight champion's name in his Garcia tirade against a failed drug test. Reacting to McGregor's comments on his YouTube channel, O'Malley said:
“I was more sad than mad. Now I cannot wait to see Michael Chandler absolutely just sleep him. I’m turning up. I’m changing up real quick, f*ck Conor. When your idols turn to rivals.”
