Carl Froch pulls receipts on "classless" Anthony Joshua after heated DM exchange

Anthony Joshua has been called out by former world champion Carl Froch after the pair recently shared a fiery Whatsapp exchange. 'AJ' shared some choice words about the retired boxer, labeling him as "pr**k" during an interview at yesterday's media event for Joshua vs. Dubois.

Froch has criticized his fellow countryman on several occasions over the past few years. 'The Cobra' also took issue with the heavyweight after he left Froch's longtime coach, Rob McCracken, in 2023. But his recent assessment of the Watford native's chances of beating Dubois appeared to have irked him tremendously.

Whilst the pair have traded words before, their latest clash saw the former super middleweight champion share screenshots of the back-and-forth. He called out Joshua for claiming to be humble whilst bragging about how much more money he had than Froch, sending him a video of a bundle of cash and a Rolex watch.

The 46-year-old took to YouTube to share details of the exchange, saying this:

"He's lost a bit of class... For Anthony Joshua to go where he went, and where he went was, it's all about the [money]... He thinks he's pulled the ace card out his sleeve by just saying to me, 'I've earned a lot more money than you Froch.'"

He continued:

"Don't just make it about money. Because there's no class. And what happened to the humble Anthony Joshua? The humble guy that said it's not about money, it's not about material things."

Anthony Joshua dismisses claim that Daniel Dubois knocked him out in sparring

Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois are scheduled to clash in an all-British classic at Wembley Stadium, London, on 21 Sept. for the IBF world title.

With their fight officially announced, rumors that Dubois knocked 'AJ' out in sparring several years ago have resurfaced. Frank Warren, founder of Queensbury Promotions and promoter of 'Dynamite', claimed in 2023 that Joshua had been KO'd by his client.

During a recent interview with Sky Sports, the two-time heavyweight world champion was asked about Warren's claim and said this:

"Good spars, and this whole conversation you're trying to get - he just cracked me with a good shot. But I stood on my feet, I don't know where this whole narrative of, 'Someone turned my lights off,' came from."
