"Certified schizophrenic" - Fans react to Sean Strickland showering with an AK-47 gun in latest video

UFC middleweight Sean Strickland uploaded a bizarre video to Instagram offering advice to his fans.

In the video, Strickland was in his shower holding an AK-47 and as part of his "tacticool course", asked fans to do the same. He said:

"I'm gonna give you guys some advice. Showering with your AK is the most f*****g American thing you can do. It's not f*****g weird."

Fans commented on the absurdity of the post:

Other fans also pointed out the factual error that the AK-47 was not an American firearm:

"Nothing says American like a gun designed by the Soviet Union, and most likely produced in Albania, Israel, or China."

"Shower with a gun that originated in the USSR lol very American."

Another fan countered with advice to truly make the showering experience an American one:

"Sir that is a Russian manufactured weapon, the only way to allow this to be completely American is for the AK-47 to be swapped with a AR-15, a 12 pack of Budweiser, Charlie Daniel's greatest hits, and a cousin"

Another fan hilariously commended Strickland for not being banned on the platform despite his weird actions:

"Still not banned. This is impressive."

Another fan endeavored to change that by reporting the post and the account:

"Reported! Nudity and gun violence. Canceled."

Sean Strickland picks the winner between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira

Sean Strickland is currently ranked No.7 in the middleweight division with his last fight being a loss to No.4-ranked Alex Pereira. Pereira's win earned him a title shot against reigning champion and former kickboxing foe Israel Adesanya at UFC 281.

Strickland picked out the winner in the championship bout and sided with the champion successfully defending his belt for the sixth time.

In an interview with former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub on his podcast Food Truck Diaries with Brendan Schaub, Strickland explained:

“I got Izzy. Izzy’s gonna dance around, f****n’ run around, fight like a b***h. He’s not gonna stand in front of him. It’s not smart. So I think Izzy’s gonna win, Izzy has a very strange body type. It’s hard to fight.”
