Chael Sonnen believes Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury fight announcement is fake
Chael Sonnen is not convinced that Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will be competing in a boxing match, despite rumors circulating that the fight is set to happen.
Paul and Fury have shared an online beef for several years and have attempted to settle their differences in the ring several times. But due to injuries and visa issues, the fight has not yet materialized.
Strong rumors suggest that the fight could take place in Saudi Arabia next month. However, according to 'The American Gangster', that is one of the reasons he is skeptical of the legitimacy of the bout. On his podcast, Chael Sonnen said:
"There's some stuff about the announcement that made me think, 'Perhaps we're still in rumorville' Number 1 is that the fight's gonna be next month. That's a recipe of Floyd Mayweather, nobody in the business has done a better job at making an announcement and then getting in the ring than Floyd."
"So [the fight] is in a month, that's awesome. But where are they gonna do it at? That wasn't said. If I want to buy tickets, where do I get them? That wasn't said. Where is this going to be located? In addition to the platform [it's hosted on].2

Chael Sonnen on a possible boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Perry
Chael Sonnen recently broke down why a potential boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Perry could be an exciting watch. 'The American Gangster' hinted at Perry's previous boxing experience as a reason for his interest in a possible bout between the two.
Sonnen broke down the reasons why he would be interested in the fight during a recent YouTube video and said:
"[Mike] Perry is red hot right now... He just beat [Michael] Venom Page, that was not supposed to happen. But if you remember back to the Triller event, Perry fought a guy who is a former WBA or WBO champion, a real champion... sometimes you find your sport. So I don't hate the ideo of him and Jake Paul."
