Chael Sonnen claims 'The Liver King' "didn't cheat anybody" by using steroids
Chael Sonnen came out in defense of Brian Johnson, aka 'The Liver King' in light of the internet sensation finally admitting to using steroids in an apology video. Sonnen assessed the entire matter through different vantage points, offering a comprehensive stance on the situation.
It all began when YouTuber Derek revealed that Johnson had attempted to hire him for his expertise in hormone use via email long before he'd presented himself as 'The Liver King' on social media platforms.
Through his Heart & Soil and Ancestral brands, he subsequently amassed a fortune selling protein supplements and dried animal organs.
Ruminating over the entire sequence of events on his YouTube channel, Chael Sonnen arrived at the conclusion that Johnson hasn't cheated anyone:
"The Liver King' did not cheat anybody. One of the problems that he had was his idea and his character and the risk that he took, which is financially very impactful.... to go out there and have those channels, to go in and do the things that he was doing, he dug in. He made a commitment here."
The way Sonnen perceives it, Johnson pulled out the character with full effectuation without prior knowledge that it would become a worldwide sensation. Johnson was compelled to maintain his stance on not taking steroids as he denied those allegations earlier in his journey.
With all that in mind, Sonnen added:
"There are some things that come at you fast and you get asked a question and you lie for the same reason all of you lie.... you felt shamed, so you [Johnson] answer the question [about taking steroids], you answered it quickly and you thought you're going to move on you're never going to be asked that question again. It's one lie and it becomes this thing."
On the flip side, Sonnen understands the backlash, bearing in mind the journey that his fans embarked on after entrusting their faith in Johnson.

Joe Rogan blasts 'The Liver King's "corny" apology video
Leaked emails revealed that 'The Liver King' had been using steroids to get his jacked body, despite his repeated denials. There was much conjecture that he was receiving assistance, but no hard evidence was established until the popular YouTube channel More Plates More Dates exposed the truth.
Several MMA fighters and internet celebrities have reacted to the news and offered their take on the matter.
UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has always been speculative about Johnson's steroid usage. Now that the truth has come to light, Rogan isn't impressed by his apology.
Reacting to the video on episode #1905 of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), the podcaster stated:
"Sometimes people don’t hang out with people who are smarter than them and you think you’re the smartest person or maybe because he’s running this company, people have to listen to him. So, he has a distorted perception of his ability to communicate and his ability to convince people. That was so theatrical and so corny,”
