Chael Sonnen confesses to juicing in Jon Jones fight and still being "pushed around like a Mack truck"
Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen coached opposing teams on season 17 of The Ultimate Fighter before facing off for the light heavyweight title at UFC 159. The mixed martial arts analyst recently revealed that, despite being on steroids, he was dominated throughout the fight.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, the former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight title challenger was asked if he felt 'Bones' was clean during their title bout. 'The American Gangster' replied by saying:
"No. Heavens no. Oh, my god. We know our own. I could tell, very easily. It would be the body. It would start with your delts, it would go to your nipples then it would be the upper abs - the three big tells, but yes of course. I had more juice than Tropicana and he pushed me around like a Mack truck versus a Volvo."
Chael Sonnen added:
"As soon as we locked up with each other, as he's pushing me backwards before he comes with his big spinning elbow, I remember thinking, 'I know your secret, 'cause I got the same one.' Yes, they tested but back then it was an IQ test, not a drug test, because we didn't have USADA so they had to tell us when they would come in and test."
While Sonnen may have been on steroids during his UFC 159 title fight against Jon Jones, he was unable to emerge victorious as he lost the bout via a first-round TKO.

Chael Sonnen criticizes heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane
After three years away from mixed martial arts, Jon Jones is set to make his return to the octagon at UFC 285 this weekend. The longtime UFC light heavyweight champion will make his highly-anticipated heavyweight debut as he faces Ciryl Gane for the title.
During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, mixed martial arts analyst Chael Sonnen criticized the title fight, as well as the heavyweight division by saying:
"I don't know if we've had a less deserving heavyweight [title] match in a meaningful period of time... We get a guy that's 1-1 in his last two versus a guy that quit the sport three [years] ago and has never competed in the division. As far as where we're at in the heavyweight division, it's pretty slim pickings."
Jones was expected to challenge former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou for the title in his divisional debut. Following the latter's departure from the promotion, Gane was given the opportunity to face the longtime light heavyweight champion. If 'Bones' wins, he will become just the eighth multi-division champion in UFC history.
