Ian Garry receives call-out from Sean Brady after the latter’s recent win
Following his impressive victory over Gilbert Burns at UFC Vegas 97, welterweight contender Sean Brady has issued a challenge to both Ian Machado Garry and Colby Covington.
In his post-fight interview, Brady expressed a desire to face Garry, citing the undefeated prospect's perceived arrogance:
“I just think Ian thinks he’s God’s gift to earth, and he’s not, and I feel like everyone in this sport feel the same way… I’ll fight him.”
However, Brady also added Covington to his potential target list, labeling the former interim champion as the "easiest matchup" in the division. Brady believes he could dominate Covington on the feet and on the ground, highlighting his skills and Covington's perceived weaknesses.
Brady's eagerness to fight before the birth of his child in February has fueled his callouts. He expressed confidence that both Garry and Covington would be unable to turn down the opportunity to face him, given his current momentum and ranking:
“I’m going to go home, assess my bumps and bruises, and we’ll see where we’re at. But Colby or Ian Garry sounds like a fun one. Maybe December or early January. Like I said, before February 13th.” [H/t: MMA Junkie]
