Chael Sonnen reacts to "thirsty" Jorge Masvidal calling out Leon Edwards, dismisses UFC potentially making fight
Chael Sonnen recently took aim at Jorge Masvidal following his callout of Leon Edwards. Sonnen criticized Masvidal and stated the UFC won't schedule a fight against Edwards because it doesn't make sense.
For context, Masvidal said in an interview with MMA Fighting that he is planning to return to mixed martial arts. While he wants to face Edwards, 'Gamebred' doesn't believe the former UFC welterweight champion would accept a bout against him.
"I tried [to fight Edwards]. Leon don't want this f**king smoke, man. He had other options. He went for other things instead of accepting a fight with me. I'll tell you that much...Leon, I will whoop your f**king a**, bro.''

Sonnen, who has been at odds with Masvidal for quite some time, took a dig at the former BMF champion in his recent YouTube video. According to 'The American Gangster', the promotion will not make the bout as it won't benefit either fighter and also because of, the Florida native's age.
''Masvidal has looked very thirsty as of late, and this is always a tough spot...If he’s calling out guys like Leon, that guy is a bada*s, and that is what Jorge Masvidal is. And now, that fight wouldn’t make a lot of sense. That fight isn’t taking you anywhere. Not taking you to a title fight, and it’s not a title fight...I don’t predict that [the UFC] is going to make that fight, in fact, quite the opposite. I don’t predict for you anybody at the age of 40 is going to get signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, including if it’s a re-signing.”

Masvidal announced his retirement from MMA following a unanimous decision loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287 last year. He returned to the combat sports scene with a boxing match against Nate Diaz in July and suffered a majority decision defeat.
Michael Bisping reacts to Jorge Masvidal's potential fight against Leon Edwards
Michael Bisping also recently gave his thoughts on the Jorge Masvidal vs. Keon Edwards situation on his Believe You Me podcast. The former middleweight champion said:
''I can't imagine Leon probably wants to fight him. I mean, why would I do that? Why would I take this fight? I will be strategic about my next move. I want to get back into the final conversation... And this is total respect to Masvidal by the way. But if he gets a win off of Masvidal it does not make any moves in his title discussion.”
