Chael Sonnen shares two-word reaction to Jamahal Hill's message to Alex Pereira ahead of UFC 303 title fight
Former UFC light-heavyweight world champion Jamahal Hill recently sent a message to reigning divisional kingpin Alex Pereira ahead of his title defense this weekend at UFC 303. At UFC 300 last April, 'Sweet Dreams' lost his bid to win back his belt by getting knocked out by 'Poatan' in the first round.
Just a mere two months later, the champion is defending his throne yet again against former foe Jiri Prochazka. The two warriors agreed to lock horns again to save the card's main event after the original bout - a welterweight clash between Michael Chandler and a returning Conor McGregor - got scrapped due to injury.
Ahead of Alex Pereira's bout this weekend, Jamahal Hill had these words for him:
"Alex [Pereira] has got his own task ahead of him this weekend. He's fighting Jiri Prochazka, defending the title. Best of luck to you in this rematch with Jiri because if you lose, I don't give a f**k if they give me a title shot. It's me and you. If you win, Imma go starch the next guy and I see you soon. If you lose, I'll see you real soon."

MMA legend and veteran analyst Chael Sonnen had a two-word response in reaction to Hill's message:
"Straight FIRE"
After loss to Alex Pereira, Jamahal Hill planned quick return at UFC 303 but had to pull out due to injury
Jamahal Hill would have shared the same fight card as Alex Pereira at UFC 303. Despite suffering a devastating knockout at the hands of 'Poatan' back in April, Hill was cleared to compete again two months later on the June 29 card.
He was set to face divisional boogeyman Khalil Roundtree Jr. but the latter was forced to withdraw from the bout due to getting flagged for banned substances. Roundtree was replaced by New Zealand rising star Carlos Ulberg. As bad luck would have it, however, Hill had to pull out due to a myriad of injuries and was then replaced by divisional veteran Anthony 'Lionheart' Smith.
No official word yet has been released on when Jamahal Hill will return to action. Here's to hoping he makes a speedy recovery and jumps back into the UFC light-heavyweight mix again.
