Chase Hooper shares two-word reaction after being added to EA Sports UFC 5 following latest roster update
UFC lightweight submission wizard Chase Hooper has finally made it to the roster of EA Sports UFC 5. As a lifelong gamer himself, the 25-year-old BJJ blackbelt is absolutely stoked at seeing his character choke people out in the video game.
One X user posted a video of Hooper choking out former interim UFC lightweight champ Dustin Poirier in the game.
Ecstatic at the content, Chase Hooper reshared a video on his X account, saying:
"Letโs goooooo ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค"
Now, not only can 'The Dream' become a world champion in real life, he can do so in the game as well. Hooper has an inactive Twitch account where he only had one video of himself playing the RPG game Sekiro. With his new character up in EA Sports UFC 5, expect the UFC lightweight to fire up his Twitch account again.
Chase Hooper checks bucket list item with EA Sports UFC 5 roster addition
In a separate post he uploaded on Instagram, Chase Hooper claimed that it's "surreal" to see himself in the game, being that he is an avid fan of video games. Hooper said:
"As a lifelong gamer itโs pretty surreal to be able to say that Iโm in a video game now. Definitely checked another bucket list item off with this one. Thanks to @easportsufc for putting me in the game (and giving me some pretty decent stats too ๐)"
Though he set the record for the fourth-most strikes landed in a UFC lightweight bout, 'The Dream' is most known for his lethal grappling and submission skills.
Hooper's last appearance in the octagon was a second-round Brabo choke submission over Viacheslav Borshchev at UFC on ESPN 56 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is currently scheduled to face divisional legend and all-around action man Clay Guida in December at UFC 310.
