Chris Eubank Jr. sends stern warning to Conor Benn following viral face-off with Neymar: “This sport has no place for cheats"
Chris Eubank Jr. was back in the ring for the first time this year when he faced Kamil Szeremeta as part of the undercard for Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol. The 35-year-old put on an impressive showing as he secured a TKO win in Round 7, afterwhich he was involved in a heated face-off with Conor Benn.
Benn was scheduled to fight 'Next Gen' in October 2022 before failing a drug test for ostarine during fight week, leading to the bout being canceled.
But it appears that both pugilists are still eager to go to war in the ring and settle the bad blood between them.
Following their viral face-off in the ring, which famous footballer Neymar found himself in the middle of, Eubank Jr. was interviewed by iFL TV. The Brit sent a strong message to 'The Destroyer' ahead of their potential fight, saying:
"Conor Benn is next on the hit list. I wanna squash this kid, man. I wanna get him out of boxing... Turki [Alalshikh] wants that fight. So the fight's gonna happen."
He continued:
"As long as [Benn] gets his license back, the fight's next... I just wanna get this guy out of boxing. I want to beat him so badly that he doesn't want to ever fight again. This sport has no place for cheats."

Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn share a rivalry that extends all the way to the intense beef between their respective fathers, Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn.
Whilst there was tension between Eubank Jr. and 'The Destroyer' ahead of their scheduled clash in 2022, due to their fathers' rivalry. The words exchanged since the fight was canceled have made the potential matchup a "personal" one, according to Benn and his promoter, Eddie Hearn.
With the pair having been involved in a heated face-off after crossing paths at the fighter hotel on Oct. 11, they came face-to-face once again in the ring after 'Next Gen' defeated Kamil Szeremeta.
The 35-year-old can be heard saying:
"I smell fear, you know that? Yeah, I smell fear."
In response, Benn said:
"You looked s**t in there tonight! You can't fight me like that, you'll get done in three rounds."
