Christian Lee-Alibeg Rasulov rebooked for ONE Fight Night 26 main event on December 6
Christian Lee's ONE lightweight MMA world title defense against Alibeg Rasulov will now headline ONE Fight Night 26. The promotion revealed the news on onefc.com earlier today.
Originally scheduled to be one of four world title contests set for the stacked ONE 169 showcase on Nov. 8, the pair of world-class lightweight supremos will now lock horns live in American primetime from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Dec. 6.
Though Christian Lee has to wait a little longer to reintroduce himself to the watching world, the added time will only give the Evolve MMA and Prodigy Training Center representative more room to perfect his already world-class skill set.
'The Warrior' has been out of action since the tragic passing of his youngest sister, Victoria, on Boxing Day of 2022.
In his last appearance, the 26-year-old completed his double champ status with a brilliant TKO triumph over ONE welterweight MMA world champion Kiamrian Abbasov.
Before that, the Hawaii-based superstar reclaimed his spot atop the lightweight MMA mountain in a similar fashion against Ok Rae Yoon, needing only two rounds to level the series against the South Korean.
Still ranked right at the top as the athlete with the most finishes (16) in the promotion, it is far from anyone's guess what the two-division king will have his eyes on when he defends his gold against Rasulov at ONE Fight Night 26.
Equipped with a solid stand-up arsenal and knockout power, alongside durability and finishing maneuvers on the canvas, Christian Lee should be out to mark his return in trademark fashion inside the Mecca of Muay Thai on Dec. 6.
Alibeg Rasulov will be out to spoil Christian Lee's return
Looking to ruin Christian Lee's dream is none other than Rasulov, who enjoyed a memorable debut in ONE this past July.
The undefeated Turkish sensation came out victorious in his five-round scrap alongside Ok in the main event of ONE Fight Night 23.
Unfortunately, the 31-year-old was ineligible to lay his hands on the interim lightweight crown after passing hydration and making weight after the official time window closed on weigh-in day.
The Hyperion Fighters representative, however, has the perfect chance to flip the script and hit it big with Lee's 26 pounds of gold on offer at ONE Fight Night 26.
More bouts will be added to the card in the coming weeks. As always, stay tuned to Sportskeeda MMA for any updates.
