Christian Lee doesn’t want his kids to pursue MMA: “But if they do, they'll be good”
Reigning ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion 'The Warrior' Christian Lee is ready to make his highly anticipated return to the ONE Championship Circle when he heads stateside later this year.
The 26-year-old double champ has spent the last two years grieving the loss of his younger sister, former ONE athlete Victoria Lee, who tragically took her own life in December of 2022.
Since then, Lee has had a lot of much-needed rest and reflection, as well as had a second child with their wife, Katie.
Speaking to media at the ONE 168: Denver post-fight scrum last weekend, when he was in town to corner younger brother, Adrian Lee, Christian talked about his kids and how he doesn't necessarily want them to pursue the family business and become MMA fighters when they grow up.
'The Warrior' said:
"No, I don't want my kids to fight, but we have a gym back home in Hawaii, and they're watching classes every day. They're watching us train. My daughter, my son, they're already great martial artists. It scares me how good they are. So I hope they don't end up in this profession, but if they do, they'll be good."
Christian Lee is set to make his big comeback in November against an undefeated opponent.
