Christian Lee "looking forward" to taking on clear contenders at lightweight, welterweight
Christian Lee can't wait to get his hands on a fresh start and face any strong contenders for his two-division throne.
The ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion thinks he has yet to see any worthy opponents, although his last fight was in Nov. 2022 when he nabbed the welterweight title from the hands of Kiamrian Abbasov.
Christian had taken the time off to recover from the tragic passing of his younger sibling, Victoria Lee, and he is now prepared to mark his return with another victory against a game contender.
But, as he explained to the South China Morning Post ahead of his youngest brother's MMA debut victory at ONE 167, Lee thinks there has yet to be any real challengers:
"I’m very grateful that I’ve been given a little bit of a time off. However, there hasn’t been any clear contenders in the lightweight or welterweight divisions, so, although I’ve been out of the game, I feel that there hasn’t been anyone knocking at the door."
He continued:
"So, I’m grateful, but I am also looking forward to who’s going to be the clear contenders in both divisions."

Adrian Lee reflects on how his brother Christian became his greatest supporter
Becoming a two-division world champion is not the only role for Christian Lee, as he also trains his youngest brother Adrian ahead of his massive debut victory at ONE 167.
Both of them had been honing their skills at the Prodigy Training Center, where the older Lee acted as a trainer-cum-training partner for his youngest brother.
Before Adrian scored a massive submission victory over Antonio Mammarella in the second round of their fight, he spent some time with South China Morning Post to talk about his brother's role:
"It's so great. I'm so lucky and blessed to be able to train with my brother, who's the two-division champ. It's great. We get great training in every day."
Adrian is the latest member of the Lee family to compete in ONE Championship, after the former atomweight MMA queen and now-retired Angela Lee, Christian, and the late Victoria Lee.
