Christian Lee shares how recent time off has helped him reset: “It’s been important”

Two-division king Christian Lee is ready for a comeback after recovering from the sudden and tragic passing of her younger sister, Victoria Lee.

The ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion was seen cornering his youngest brother, Adrian Lee, in his debut victory over Antonio Mammarella at the sold-out ONE 167 card.

But 'The Warrior' was last seen fighting in Nov. 2022, when he defeated Kiamrian Abbasov via TKO to claim his second world title in ONE.

In an interview with South China Morning Post, he shared his thoughts on how the time off he took has refreshed himself and his family and how he's now prepared to take on another challenge.

He said:

"It’s been important to take some time off. Just coming back refreshed with a fresh start and just being able to go out there and focus on the goal."

Although his next challenger has yet to be confirmed, Christian and ONE has confirmed that he will return to action later this year, where this will also open an opportunity for the two brothers to share the same card following Adrian's victory at ONE 167.

After dominating his opponent in the first round, both in the striking and grappling departments, Lee captivated the audience with a slick ground game before maneuvering his way to the choke finish at the 1:56 mark of the second round.

As icing on the cake, the young prodigy also received his first $50,000 bonus, which was also the first in the card.
