Close-up look of Joaquin Buckley's face getting distorted beyond recognition from Chris Curtis' KO punch at UFC 282 gets Twitter talking
Chris Curtis delivered on his promise of a statement-making performance with a knockout victory over Joaquin Buckley at UFC 282. Buckley's visuals are nearly unrecognizable in the post-fight images that have surfaced on the internet.
Curtis and Buckley squared off against one another in the opening bout of the preliminary card at UFC 282. In the first round, and for the majority of the second, Buckley was extremely active, seemingly matching or exceeding Curtis' footwork volume.
However, 'The Action Man' made a perfect read when Joaquin Buckley launched a body kick attempt. Curtis managed to catch the kick before it landed and dropped 'New Mansa' with a powerful left from his dominant stance. What followed was a barrage of vicious punches from the top until referee Jason Herzog stepped in to call an end to the fight at 2:49 of Round 2.

Several fans took to Twitter to react to Buckley's annihilation and distorted face in the KO images. One fan, in particular, referred to the images as getting a Rhinoplasty, commonly called a nose job - a plastic surgery performed on the nose to change its appearance:
"Holy rhinoplasty, Batman! Incredible shot by @LouisGrasseof Chris Curtis' [@Actionman513] knockout of Joaquin Buckley at #UFC282."
Another user used his wit to deliver a pun aimed directly at Buckley:
"Buckley got buckled."
Another Twitter user claimed that Buckley looked like Grammy award-winning hip-hop artist Tyler, the Creator:
"My man Joaquin Buckley lookin' like Tyler The Creator.. LOL #UFC282 @tylerthecreator."
Yet another fan couldn't help but notice the similarity between Buckley's viral knockout victory over Impa Kasanganay and Chris Curis' set-up for the finish:
"This is almost the exact same scenario as his debut he wasn't throwing too much and he just goes on and knocks out the guy."

Chris Curtis claims that his corner saw the opening for the finish against Joaquin Buckley
At UFC 282 earlier tonight, middleweight contender Chris Curtis lived up to his 'The Action Man' moniker by knocking out heavy hitter Joaquin Buckley in the second round.
With this victory, Curtis extended his UFC record to 4-1, four of which have come by way of a finish (KO/TKO).
Detailing the finish in a post-fight interview, Curtis claimed that his team saw the opening for the finish:
"Second round, I feel like he [Buckley] slowed down. Even if I don't see them slow down, my corner sees it and I've learned to trust my corner, my coaches. They made the call, I didn't see it. Listen to your corner folks!"
