“News coming this way” - John Lineker hints at next ONE Championship outing, teases MMA or Muay Thai fight

John Lineker just hinted at his quick turnaround following a stellar Muay Thai debut.

The former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion is coming off an impressive second-round finish of Asa Ten Pow in his first professional Muay Thai outing at ONE 168: Denver earlier this month at Ball Arena.

Determined to get back to the Circle before the year ends, Lineker teased on Instagram that his next match is just over the horizon.

John Lineker, however, didn't specify if it would be under MMA or Muay Thai.

He posted:

Lineker is one of the most lethal punchers in MMA history, and that devastating boxing was on full display when he faced off against Ten Pow in Denver on Sept. 6.

Despite his relative inexperience in "The Art of Eight Limbs", Lineker never looked lost during the matchup and unleashed his trademark looping hooks that Ten Pow struggled to guard against.

A barrage of hooks in the final 30 seconds of the second round ultimately secured Lineker a brutal knockout win that sent the Denver crowd into a molten frenzy.

Lineker's victory over Ten Pow marked his seventh in ONE Championship and his fifth knockout under the promotion's banner.

John Lineker says his focus remains on MMA, but competing on other sports will always be an option

John Lineker is always down for a fight, and he'll do it under any ruleset presented to him.

In an interview with ONE Championship, 'Hands of Stone' said his main focus remains on MMA but he'd gladly accept fights under other disciplines in the promotion.

He said:

"My focus is MMA. I don't plan on switching to Muay Thai [permanently], but I want to do other Muay Thai fights, just to stay active. I can even fight in submission grappling or do some super-fight with special rules!"
