Henry Cejudo dares Aljamain Sterling to "sign the contract" after 'Funk Master' ragdolls T.J. Dillashaw in UFC 280 title fight win

Henry Cejudo has called out Aljamain Sterling after his dominant victory over T.J. Dillashaw. Sterling put his UFC bantamweight title on the line against former UFC bantamweight champion Dillashaw at tonight's UFC 280 event.

'Funk Master' dominantly defeated T.J. Dillashaw via second-round TKO. Dillashaw suffered a shoulder injury early in the title matchup, which expedited matters as Dillashaw could barely use his left hand to strike or wrestle.

Notwithstanding the injury, Aljamain Sterling has been lauded for his performance against the veteran bantamweight. Moreover, former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo subsequently challenged Sterling to fight him next.

Taking to his official Twitter account, Cejudo asked UFC president Dana White to give him the next shot at Sterling's UFC 135lbs title. Jibing at the Jamaican-American fighter, Cejudo tweeted:

"Yo @danawhite give me the next title shot! Let’s bring this title back to America"

Cejudo's last fight saw him defend the UFC bantamweight title with a second-round TKO win over Dominick Cruz in May 2020. The Arizona native retired and vacated the title after beating Cruz.

That said, Cejudo did re-enter the USADA testing pool earlier this year. He's also relentlessly called for a bantamweight title matchup against Sterling. Cejudo has now tweeted a video in which he harked back to having beaten Dillashaw faster than Sterling did. 'Triple C' stated:

"Well, congratulations, Alja-sh*tstain, you continue to keep beating my leftovers. Congratulations. I took that dude out in 32 seconds. Anyhow, the baby, my puppy, is right here, dude. Let's not forget, man. All you guys are babysitting my belt. All you sorry-a** 135-pounders, there's one king, and his name is 'Triple C'. You're gonna get it. Sign the contract, hoe."

Aljamain Sterling advises Henry Cejudo to earn his way back to a UFC title shot

Speaking to BT Sport's Adam Catterall a few days back, Aljamain Sterling addressed Henry Cejudo's constant demands for a bantamweight title shot.

Sterling alluded to the fact that Dillashaw, who'd been out of action for a couple of years, earned his way back into a title matchup by beating Cory Sandhagen in his comeback fight.

Aljamain Sterling opined that the 2008 freestyle wrestling Olympic gold medalist and former UFC double-champ, Cejudo, ought to do likewise by beating a top contender. Emphasizing that 'Triple C' doesn't deserve an immediate title shot, Sterling said:

"I do think if there's anyone who needs to fight somebody and prove themselves the same way T.J. had to do, it should be Henry Cejudo."
