Conor McGregor deletes tweet slamming Kevin Holland over broken rib TKO: "Didn't even f***ing try?"

Conor McGregor recently took a dig at Kevin Holland following his loss at UFC 307. McGregor expressed his disappointment by asserting that, being a veteran of the sport, Holland should have performed better.

Holland and Roman Dolidze engaged in a middleweight bout at UFC 307, which marked the former's third fight of the year. Following his back-to-back decision losses against Jack Della Maddalena and Michael 'Venom' Page, the 31-year-old bounced back with a first-round submission win over Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC 302.

Meanwhile, Dolidze was coming off a unanimous decision win against Anthony Smith at UFC 303.

In the opening round, Holland countered Dolidze's attack with a series of leg kicks. But, the 36-year-old eventually found a way to take the fight to the canvas with a powerful right hand and unleashing a series of ground-and-pound strikes.

Holland was clearly hurting by the end of the round, indicating to his corner that he might have broken a rib during the grappling sequence. Before the second round could start, 'Trailblazer's coaches decided to call off the fight. Dolidze was eventually declared the winner via TKO in the first round.

That didn't sit well with McGregor, who bashed Holland for his performance in a now deleted post on X.

''Didn’t even f*cking try? Nah that is ridiculous! Go out again and see how it is. If folds up again then you end it with the towel. Nah that’s not it for me folks. Holland is a solid veteran he well should have went out and gave it a shot to see how he was. Wrong move."

In another X post, McGregor wrote:

''If ya’s want blood, call us.''

As for McGregor, he is expected to make his highly anticipated octagon return next year after his UFC 303 bout against Michael Chandler was canceled.
