Conor McGregor flexes a rare achievement across three weight classes

Conor McGregor is unarguably one of the most decorated superstars of the MMA world. From becoming the first double-division champ of the UFC to its biggest pay-per-view draw, he has done it all. 'The Notorious' responded to Platinum-One crediting him for fighting and winning in three weight classes in a single year on X. He wrote:

"KO’s in all 3 divisions. #KOSpecialist."

The Irishman has competed in featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight divisions professionally. With his first-round TKO victory over Donald Cerrone in 2020, he became the first UFC fighter to hold knockout victories in three separate divisions of the sport. The 36-year-old is also the first fighter in the UFC to hold the featherweight and lightweight titles of the promotion simultaneously.

Conor McGregor won and unified the featherweight championship by defeating Jose Aldo at UFC 194. His win over Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 earned him a historic feat as the Irishman became the first simultaneous double-division champ of the UFC. 'The Notorious' was later stripped of the title because of inactivity.
