Conor McGregor gives one-word reaction to new stats on Ireland's failure to deport undocumented migrants

UFC double champion Conor McGregor has been making a lot of political tweets on X. Considering the recent spike in illegal immigration to the country, McGregor has opted to act as a voice for his compatriots, utilizing his influence to oppose those in power.

McGregor is among many Irish individuals who hold anti-immigrant views, saying that immigrants and asylum seekers increase crime rates. While not openly supporting the end of immigration to his nation, the former UFC lightweight champion has previously demanded that the government enforce more strict guidelines when it comes to allowing foreigners to enter the country.

However, recent data suggest that only 31 of the 2,750 international protection applicants who were denied asylum over a five-year period by the Department of Justice have been deported.

Additionally, the Department of Justice disclosed that 626 'Take Back and Take Charge' requests from other EU nations were received by Ireland. Of these, the Irish government consented to take responsibility for 182, of which 54 have been carried out.

That did not sit well with McGregor, who responded to that by taking a jab at the Irish Government in a single word, writing:

''UNACCEPTABLE!''

In a previous X outburst, McGregor blasted the Irish government for its handling of the country's immigration system. The renowned Irish mixed martial artist implied that the immigration system no longer maintains criteria for who is permitted entry into the nation, stating:

"For too long Ireland has put up with policies that do not ensure that those entering our country are of the character, skills and desire to benefit Ireland. WE WILL NEVER ACCEPT THIS BETRAYAL OF OUR COUNTRY."

As for the MMA scene, McGregor was set to make his highly anticipated octagon return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303. However, a toe injury sustained during training forced 'The Notorious' to withdraw from the bout. He is expected to return later this year.

Conor McGregor responds to excessive spending at Ireland's Department of Integration

Conor McGregor reacted to the Irish government's decision to provide the Department of Integration with an additional 195 million in funding for health services. The action was taken months after the government chastised the department for excessive spending and informed that no additional funds would be provided for the same reason.

@ThoughtsToby shared a screenshot of an Irish Times article on X, citing overspending for "housing and feeding illegal immigrants in Ireland." In a now-deleted post on X, McGregor, who has been active on immigration issues, responded with a four-word remark, writing:

"WE DO NOT COMPLY!"
