Conor McGregor hilariously calls himself "a Liger" in X thread about Alpha vs. Sigma
Conor McGregor labels himself as a mixture of a lion and a tiger.
Few fighters, if any, have accomplished more success in MMA than McGregor. The 36-year-old is a former two-division UFC champion who took his money from fighting and made millions in various business ventures.
McGregor's success has partially been due to his marketing skills. One of these current methods to generate attention among the MMA fanbase is social media. Earlier today, 'The Notorious' was on X when the following post caught his attention:
"Alpha is the lion, dominant & domineering Sigma is the tiger, lone & mysterious What Kind Of Man Are You? [ALPHA VS. SIGMA]"
McGregor utilized his way with words to produce the following response:
"I’m a Liger!"
McGregor's most successful business venture was Proper Twelve Irish Whiskey. The former two-division UFC champion sold his majority stake in the company, raking in millions and millions of dollars.
Since then, McGregor has pursued a new business opportunity by becoming a part owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). The 35-year-old has been frequently spotted at the events and hasn't ruled out the possibility of competing in a boxing match without gloves.
Why is Conor McGregor not fighting until 2025?
On June 29, Conor McGregor was supposed to end a three-year layoff, which started due to a leg injury against Dustin Poirier. Unfortunately, McGregor pulled out of his UFC 303 fight against Michael Chandler due to a broken toe, postponing his highly-anticipated Octagon return.
In a recent interview, Dana White spoke to guest and former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III to discuss various topics. When asked about 'The Notorious,' White voiced his optimism about him fighting in 2025, despite mentioning McGregor's financial success could be hindering his motivation to return.
McGregor continuously claimed he was ready to fight again, while White pushed a different narrative. Therefore, the former two-division champion could need more time to prepare or the UFC might want to ensure the right opponent and event are in place for his must-see return.
It should be noted that McGregor might fight someone other than Chandler, as the latter is scheduled to fight Charles Oliveira at UFC 309. Dan Hooker is another potential opponent for 'The Notorious,' but nothing has been confirmed.
