Conor McGregor has been offered to coach in 'The Ultimate Fighter' for the second time
Conor McGregor revealed he’s been offered another coaching position on The Ultimate Fighter.
The Ultimate Fighter needs to be rejuvenated after several lackluster seasons. As McGregor plans to return in 2023, he could be the perfect option to attract viewers back to the classic reality TV show. ‘The Notorious’ announced on Instagram that the UFC offered him to coach the next season, and he had this to say:
“This is a snap from the original ultimate fighter house. Where I coached vs. urijah faber. This photo was just before the show tho. It was right before I won my first world title beating urijah team mate chad mendes around. I then went on to coach the famous fight show straight after the fight…”
McGregor concluded by saying:
“The slickest suits and shouts the show had ever seen before. On top of the silverware. And I coached my team to victory. Crazy. Some journey. I have just been offered to coach this role again. I like it. It is full immersion which is needed. I see fighters lining up. I know whats ahead I been ready motherfuckers. #StayReady”
The 22nd season of The Ultimate Fighter featured ‘The Notorious’ coaching against Urijah Faber. Although the early seasons of TUF were arguably the most entertaining, the rivalry between McGregor and Faber was must-see TV. If the former two-division UFC champion decides to coach again, he will need a counterpart to maximize the entertainment.

Who should Conor McGregor coach The Ultimate Fighter against?
Conor McGregor is expected to return in 2023 after sustaining a gruesome leg injury in his last fight against Dustin Poirier. There are various opponents McGregor could fight next, including Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler, who would both be intriguing options to coach TUF.
More specifically, Chandler coaching on The Ultimate Fighter would be exceptionally entertaining. ‘Iron’ reacted to McGregor’s Instagram post by saying this on Twitter:
“Conor coaching TUF? 👀”
Chandler has become a massive superstar since making his UFC debut in January 2021. Although ‘Iron’ holds a promotional record of 2-3, the former Bellator world champion always comes out gun blazing to create entertaining fights. The 36-year-old is also talented on the mic, making him the perfect opponent for a TUF season against McGregor.
