Conor McGregor posts clip, hints for fans to prove he knocked Jose Aldo out in 12 seconds at UFC 194
Conor McGregor recently shared his iconic knockout of Jose Aldo on social media, asked fans to answer how long it took him to stop the Brazilian.
McGregor faced Aldo at UFC 194 in December 2015 and delivered one of the highlight moments of his career. As the fight began, Aldo rushed forward, and McGregor capitalized on the opportunity with a clean left hook to knock Aldo out in just officially 13 seconds to become the featherweight champion.
‘The Notorious’ took to X and shared a 12-second clip, hinting that he knocked out Aldo in 12 seconds, not 13. He then playfully inquired fans about the video’s duration, captioning the post:
“How long is this video?”
The first simultaneous UFC champion last fought at UFC 264 in July 2021 against his longtime rival Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout. The Irish fighter suffered defeat after breaking his leg in the first round and has been out of action from the octagon ever since.
McGregor is going through a tough time away from the cage, too, as he was found liable in a sexual assault case by an Irish civil court, with the jury ordering him to pay for damages.
Conor McGregor hints at comeback but not in the UFC, teasing return to boxing against Logan Paul
Rumors were circulating that Conor McGregor might make his highly anticipated comeback against featherweight champion Ilia Topuria.
Putting an end to the speculation, ‘The Notorious’ took to X, dismissing the rumors as false and hinting at a potential boxing exhibition match against YouTuber-turned-pugilist Logan Paul instead.
McGregor revealed the bout could take place in India, backed by the Ambani family. He wrote:
“The rumors of a bout with [Topuria] are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”
