Conor McGregor praises Henry Cejudo for accurately predicting Jon Jones’ fight sequence against Ciryl Gane

Conor McGregor has praised Henry Cejudo for predicting a fight sequence between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane in a since-deleted tweet.

Henry Cejudo is one of the best grapplers the UFC has seen. The former double champ is the only person to win an Olympic gold medal and a UFC title. Ahead of Jon Jones's return to the Octagon last weekend, Cejudo posted a video of him training Jones on his last day of practice on February 23.

In the video, 'Triple C' replicates a position that took place in the fight and teaches 'Bones' on the execution.

Conor McGregor tweeted about it saying:

Conor McGregor was ringside at the UFC 285 main event and saw Jon Jones claim victory over Ciryl Gane within the very first round. McGregor and Jones share a very cordial relationship and have always praised each other. 'The Notorious' was also at the event for a different reason; to film scenes for his upcoming film Roadhouse starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

'The Notorious' is looking to follow Jones' path and return triumphantly to the cctagon later this year against Michael Chandler.


Conor McGregor reacts to Jon Jones winning the heavyweight title

Jon Jones returned to the octagon after a three-year hiatus at UFC 285 last weekend. The event brought a lot of celebrities and UFC fighters to Las Vegas to witness the return of the 'GOAT'. Conor McGregor, who has always praised Jones, witnessed the fight live and reacted to it on Twitter by saying:

"That was incredible by Jon last night! Even better to see it live! The man should’ve had two belts presented to him. And both sparkling. He did it. Fucking brilliant, @JonnyBones! Congrats!"

McGregor believes Jon Jones should have been handed two belts for his performance on Saturday night. 'Bones' choked out the #1 contender in the heavyweight division in the very first round and marked his return in an emphatic manner. 'The Notorious', is himself making his return to the UFC as a coach on the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter.

The pair are scheduled to fight each other at a date that has not yet been decided. However, the bout will only take place after they finish filming for TUF.
