Conor McGregor reacts to BKFC star Mike Perry's boxing clash with "Dweeb" Jake Paul

Conor McGregor has just shared his thoughts on Mike Perry's upcoming boxing match with Jake Paul. Given 'Platinum's' status as the face of BKFC, of which the Irishman is now a part-owner, 'The Notorious' is invested in the former's bout with Paul, which is scheduled to take place this Saturday, July 20.

The history between McGregor and Paul is storied, with 'The Problem Child' having devoted a significant chunk of his time trashtalking the Irishman in an effort to goad him into a fight. While McGregor has remained largely dismissive of Paul, he took a swipe at him at a recent BKFC press conference. He said:

"Look at what happened to Michael Perry, you know, one of our big stars here, the 'King of Violence,' he titles himself, and you know, he's had such a rise in the sport now. He's up against, you know, a little dweeb of a thing in a fight this weekend that we're all rooting for him."

McGregor could even be present for the event, but there hasn't been any confirmation from his end. However, the question of his attendance was broached by renowned combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani in a recent interview with both 'The Problem Child' and Perry on The MMA Hour.

Whether he turns up at the fight, McGregor is hoping for a Perry win. 'Platinum' himself has vowed to give Paul a rude awakening come fight night. Conversely, one of 'The Problem Child's' training partners, Jake Bostwick, believes the opposite, recently claiming that Paul's power will prove too much.

Conor McGregor and Jake Paul have a personal history

Jake Paul has tried, to no avail, to score a boxing match with Conor McGregor over the years, taking aim at him with frequent trash talk. Unfortunately, he has largely been ignored. 'The Notorious,' however, has thrown his own jabs at Paul, here and there, including mocking his skills in a shadowboxing clip.

"Jackass!"

He also predicted Nate Diaz to beat 'The Problem Child,' a prediction that ultimately proved incorrect. A boxing match between the two men seems incredibly unlikely, but the trash talk may never cease.
