Conor McGregor reacts after fan attributes Bare Knuckle FC's growth to 'The Notorious' co-ownership of the promotion

Conor McGregor is fired up about BKFC's growth and has recently expressed this on social media. Since being announced as a part-owner of the promotion in April, McGregor has actively been discussing his love for the sport of bare-knuckle boxing, and it seems to be resulting in demonstrable growth for the company's online presence.

This was highlighted during a recent X interaction when an account on the platform known as @BeOneSpecial posted:

"Who is following @bareknucklefc sports on X? Their account is growing significantly after the partnership with @TheNotoriousMMA. Definitely a strategic move by @FuboTV investing here."

The former UFC two-division champion retweeted that post and wrote:

"The wildest fight show on the market! BARE KNUCKLE WORLD TITLE FIGHTING."

Conor McGregor and his BKFC involvement

Conor McGregor has been closely tied to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship through half a year of ownership presence, and his intrigue for the sport has grown tremendously. One aspect of this is McGregor's desire to knuckle up and toe the line someday.

The 36-year-old still has two fights left on his UFC contract but seems eager to become a 'player-manager' within BKFC. McGregor fighting without the gloves would undoubtedly further skyrocket BKFC's popularity.

'The Notorious' has been live at several events including their foray into a new market earlier this month with BKFC Spain. A viral moment was created when McGregor doubled the purses of both Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto after their main event lightweight title fight, which resulted in a humourous facial expression from a clearly surprised David Feldman, who is BKFC's promoter.

The Dublin native also actively discusses the sport on social media beyond the abovementioned example. McGregor did this during last weekend's PFL Super Fights card as he lamented the wrestling-heavy approach of Bellator champion Johnny Eblen as a microcosm of MMA declining. The Irish star also used this opportunity to spotlight how bare knuckle is a more exciting sport nowadays.

Also, McGregor made waves recently for revealing that a video game for BKFC is in the works.
