Conor McGregor's bold UFC future championship prediction leads fans to react in disbelief - "Delusional and borderline schizophrenic"
Conor McGregor has been a busy man on Twitter recently. Following a streak of revile-laced tweets aimed at Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev, the Irishman has now gone on to make what fans have labeled as brazen claims about his future inside the octagon.
Most recently, the former UFC two-division champion prophesied that he would lay hands on championship gold in the future:
"I predict the future. It holds gold and dough."
The sobriquet 'Mystic Mac' that the Irishman made notoriously famous for the accurate predictions of his fight has had a bad run of luck in recent years. McGregor has lost three of his last four fights inside the octagon.
With that in mind, MMA fans were quick to treat the recent tweet with contempt. Several fans hopped on to the comments section to have a go at McGregor. One fan called the Irishman's claim delusional and borderline schizophrenic:
"Delusional and borderline schizophrenic. After all these years and you still can’t get over what @TeamKhabib did to you. Seek professional help."
Another wrote:
"More chance of robbing a jewelry store than winning a UFC fight."
Yet another fan advised his beloved fighter to stop picking Twitter fights:
"I want the best for you. Please stop picking Twitter fights. You are better than that."
