Conor McGregor's middleweight goal mocked by UFC lightweight
UFC lightweight Renato Moicano has seemingly branded Conor McGregor as "delusional" following the Irish star's tweets during UFC Vegas 66.
In a series of now-deleted posts by McGregor, the 34-year-old stated that he's interested in making his middleweight debut in the future. He made the remark whilst Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland collided in the event's headliner.
McGregor wrote:
"I'm gonna give middleweight a go at some point 100%."
The Irishman followed up his tweet by adding that he'd be considered a large middleweight, despite spending much of his career fighting at featherweight and lightweight:
"I'd be a big fridge at middleweight But hot like oven same time, ye know yourself, catch it on ppv. Don't know tho. It be hard work. Those rounds against those middle/lhw, they were alternating fresh each round I've put in psycho work doing this job over the years."
Renato Moicano, who recently called for a fight against Conor McGregor, appeared to weigh in on the former champ-champ's bold claims, disagreeing with everything that he'd said:
"Middleweight...Imagine been that delusional #MMA"

The Brazilian fighter is brimming with confidence following his impressive performance against Brad Riddell at UFC 281.
Moicano locked in a rear-naked choke inside the first round to take the victory and cut one of the most memorable post-fight promos of his career, later calling for a fight against McGregor.

Conor McGregor claims he didn't eat a single leg kick from Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout
In typical Conor McGregor style, the MMA star recently took to Twitter to rant about the trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier. The bout unfortunately left him with a broken leg, because of which he's been out of action ever since.
The Irishman claimed that 'The Diamond' was unable to utilize leg kicks during their third fight, which was a major factor in their second clash months earlier. According to the 'Notorious' star, Poirier failed to land a single calf kick:
"I took not one calf kick in the trilogy. Trust me they won't be getting given for free again. Little w*nker kicks they are. If you can't kick, kick the calf."
McGregor followed up his post by stating that he had Poirier in deep waters and was en route to finishing the Louisianan:
"That's dribble and you know it. He was in space the last fight, he didn't know where he was when giving his speeches and interviews. That fight was going only one way. Time will show. I've beat everyone I've fought multiple times in the UFC. I'm the boss of the business."
