Conor McGregor's recent assault accusations are "kind of believable," former UFC champion explains why

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has once again found himself in the middle of a controversy. This time around, the Irishman allegedly assaulted a 42-year-old Irishwoman in 2022 while partying in Ibiza on his birthday.

According to the victim, she was kicked in the stomach and punched in the chin by 'Notorious' while the duo were partying on the UFC fighter's yacht. The woman reportedly had to jump overboard to escape the fighter and ultimately had to be rescued by a Red Cross boat.

Interestingly, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping feels that the accusations against the Irishman are believable since McGregor is known for his occasional violent streaks.

'The Count' argued that even though many fighters, including himself, have had unfortunate moments where they have acted poorly in public, McGregor's past is riddled with one too many such incidents. He stated during a recent episode of his Believe You Me podcast:

"He has done things that make them feel like this is kind of believable though. Yeah like that old guy in the bar and stuff."

Conor McGregor has had numerous public scuffles in the past. His most notorious moment perhaps came when he attacked a bus that was transporting fighters out of the UFC 223 press conference venue. The incident ended up injuring some of the UFC staff and fighters.
