Conor McGregor's surprise pitch appearance at Emirates Stadium with Bukayo Saka prompts Arsenal to investigate and revise security measures

Conor McGregor's recent surprise pitch appearance and interaction with Arsenal star Bukayo Saka appears to have not met with a positive response as it prompted the club to revise security measures at the Emirates Stadium. The surprise appearance could result in much stricter measures going forward as the club wants to avoid accidental injury to their players.

The former two-division UFC champion was in attendance for Arsenal's Champions League matchup against PSG. After their win over the French football giants, videos surfaced on social media showing McGregor play-fighting with Saka on the pitch. To make matters worse, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta reportedly wasn't pleased due to concerns that he could lose the young British star if the Irishman got too carried away.

With Arsenal's rigorous schedule consisting of Premier League, Champions League, and players representing their respective nations during International breaks, they can't afford to risk losing a player of Saka's quality. Although it was a harmless exchange, it's understandable why the club was upset and will likely proceed with revising their security.

According to The Times, Arsenal is conducting an internal review to find out how the UFC star entered the pitch without clearance or permission. It will be interesting to see what the club decides concerning its protocols and if there will be any fines or disciplinary action as a result of McGregor entering the pitch.
