Conor McGregor sets a hilarious challenge for teammate on latter's birthday

It's Peter Queally's birthday today, and so Conor McGregor decided to wish his teammate while also giving him a drinking challenge for the special day.

McGregor and Queally train together at the Straight Blast Gym in Dublin, Ireland. The two have formed a close friendship with 'The Showstopper,' often crediting the UFC superstar for his mental fortitude. 'The Notorious' took to Twitter to quote a fan page of him wishing Queally on his 34th birthday.

"Happiest Birthday to @peterqueally [clinking glasses emoji] [party popper emoji] [red heart emoji] #HappyBirthday"

McGregor added a drinking challenge, asking Queally to drink an entire bottle of proper whiskey, making a reference to his Irish whiskey brand Proper No. Twelve.

"Happy birthday show stop! Your one stop shop for stoppin shops. (Drink a full bottle of proper whiskey and try say this fast)"

Peter Queally currently competes in Bellator and only fought once last year while also having lost his last two fights. A title fight loss against Patricky Freire in a contest for the vacant lightweight championship in 2021 was followed by a loss to former champion Benson Henderson in 2022.

'The Showstopper' will face off against Bryce Logan at Bellator 291 in front of his home crowd at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Queally will hope to bounce back from his two-fight losing skid come fight night on February 25.

Conor McGregor addresses reports of him bumping off TUF participants for his own fighters

Conor McGregor's return to the octagon will be prefaced by a coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter Season 31. He will go up against coach Michael Chandler before the two square up in the finale.

It will be McGregor's second stint as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter after opposing Urijah Faber in 2015. The Irishman has been accused of removing participants from the upcoming edition of the show in favor of fighters from his own team.

UFC middleweight Chris Curtis called out McGregor for his actions on Twitter:

Most definitely true. What a fucking asshole. twitter.com/mmamania/statu…

Conor McGregor replied strongly to Curtis and denied any such reports.

"@Actionman513 not true. I only know 1 guy on this show and he put himself forward for it. And he is now, after today, set to fight the No. 1 seed! I didn’t ask nor request nothing! And I certainly didn’t have people removed. I’m just tryna get back in the mix myself so f*ck off."

McGregor has since deleted the tweet in typical fashion.
