Conor McGregor shares distraught five-word reaction after BKFC fighter's face shatters during bout

Conor McGregor reacted to a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) fighter who suffered a concerning amount of damage.

On Saturday, November 2, BKFC traveled to the Utilta Arena in Newcastle for BKFC 68, which featured eleven bare-knuckle boxing fights. The event started with a 185-pound bout between Danny Moir and Kyle Redfearn, which ended in round two due to a doctor's stoppage.

The matchup ended because Redfearn's face was deformed due to damage. Combat sports analyst Luke Thomas posted the gruesome footage on X and voiced his concern with the following caption:

"This might be the most I’ve ever seen someone’s face rearranged for a bout at the beginning of a card:"

Earlier this year, McGregor became a part owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. The former two-division UFC champion reacted to the video posted by Thomas with the following message:

"As Bad As It Gets! @bareknucklefc"

The violence at BKFC 68 didn't end with Danny Moir vs. Kyle Redfearn. Saturday's event featured six more knockouts, including heavyweight Anthony Faulkner's victory over Dawid Oskar in the second round of the main event.

Conor McGregor plans to end extended layoff with UFC return in 2025

On June 29, Conor McGregor was scheduled to end his three-year-long layoff, which started due to a leg injury in July 2021. Unfortunately, 'The Notorious' suffered another setback by breaking his toe in training, canceling his UFC 303 main event matchup against Michael Chandler.

Since then, McGregor's highly anticipated return has been postponed to 2025, as confirmed by Dana White in several interviews. The question is, who will the former two-division UFC champion fight next time out?

McGregor vs. Chandler doesn't seem to be in the promotion's future plans. Instead, 'Iron' is scheduled to fight Charles Oliveira in a rematch on November 16 during the UFC 309 co-main event.

As for McGregor, he's recently shown interest in fighting Dan Hooker. When it comes to 'The Notorious', it's difficult to tell what's true and what's a method of self-promotion. Therefore, only time will tell who he fights next.
