Conor McGregor shares four-word reaction to 195 million Euro overspend at Department of Integration in Ireland

Conor McGregor reacted to the Irish government allocating €195 million additional funding to Department of Integration for health services. The move comes months after the government criticized the department for overspending and said that there would be no supplementary fund allocation for the purpose.

The government will also provide an additional €28 million to the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection and for army pensions. @ThoughtsToby posted the screenshot of an Irish Times article on X and attributed the overspending to "housing and feeding illegal immigrants in Ireland."

McGregor, who has taken a vocal stand on the issues of immigration in recent times, gave a nonchalant four-word reply to the post:

"WE DO NOT COMPLY!"

Conor McGregor has criticized Irish government's immigration policies in recent times

Ireland witnessed massive riots in late 2023 after an immigrant stabbed five people, including three children, outside a school. In response, Conor McGregor shared his thoughts on the incident in an X post. While he did not support or participate in the riots, the former UFC double champion criticized the government authorities after they labeled them as driven by "far-right ideology."

As the government urged not to associate crime with migration, McGregor clarified his stance on the issue:

"I do not connect crime with migration. I connect crime to your governments many failed policies in protecting and securing the inhabitants of Ireland. There is a real lapse in national security. We need a brand new task force founded to assess all entrants into Ireland. Our natives and our visitors will all benefit with this peace of mind. We need deportation of those here illegally or that have committed a crime here. There needs to be a brand new unit founded specifically for this task. Call it “Ireland Protect.""

In January 2024, residents of the central Irish town Roscrea protested outside a hotel that was repurposed to provide shelter to asylum seekers. The protesters argued that the town had already accommodated the fair share of the immigrant population.

Conor McGregor took to X following the protests and criticized the Irish immigration policy:

"Sad scenes out of Roscrea. Ireland's current system in place around immigration showing to be not good for anyone. Not safe, not sustainable. Children put in danger and not a peep out of government. Reform needed."
