Conor McGregor sounds off on "little cousin f**ker" Khabib Nurmagomedov, regrets not postponing their UFC 229 clash

Conor McGregor is showing no signs of easing off on his enduring rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Irishman attacked his longstanding foe in the wake of an MMA fighter being linked to the undefeated fighter's gym among militants killed in a terrorist attack.

McGregor has consistently maintained that he fought Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 with a broken foot sustained three weeks out from the clash. 'The Notorious' also produced evidence of his claims on the Netflix docuseries 'McGregor Forever.'

McGregor was scheduled to headline UFC 303 against Michael Chandler and stage his highly anticipated return before a broken toe disrupted his plans. The former UFC two-division champion claimed that while, in the past, he has competed with injuries, he wants to ensure that he's in his best shape upon his return.

He also pounced on the opportunity to launch a fresh attack on Nurmagomedov, whose gym in Dagestan is being raided by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) after a series of attacks in Makhachkala and Derbent. An assailant, Gadzhimurad Kagirov has been named as one of the militants killed during the attacks, a former fighter who has trained at the facility.

McGregor took to X to react to the news while also expressing regret over not postponing their UFC 229 clash. He wrote:

"I fought this little bi*ch-made rat with a full broken foot. I should have postponed like I [have] done this time. For what did I give this little cousin f**ker any advantage for? He sh*t himself on that bus and showed his true chicken heart. Bit*h made spoilt brat. Now you are FU**ED! When you die I celebrate!"

Conor McGregor reveals he's in "deep mental pain" after pulling out of UFC 303

The UFC 303 pay-per-view showcase was built around arguably the organization's biggest star, Conor McGregor. According to UFC CEO Dana White, the event had surpassed a $20 million gate over a month in advance, making it the highest gate in the organization's history.

However, at this point, he can only watch from the sidelines as Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka take the lead to headline the pay-per-view showcase. Devastated that he couldn't fight on the card, McGregor took to X to claim that he was in deep pain following the withdrawal. He wrote:

"I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t in deep pain right now watching fight week take place. Deep mental pain. Thank you for the messages of support and encouragement. My peers and fans."
