Conor McGregor spots a move during UFC San Antonio main event that he believes should be "abolished"
Conor McGregor was closely watching the UFC San Antonio main event clash between Marlon Vera and Cory Sandhagen last weekend.
'The Notorious' called for a rule change after making an absurd observation about both fighters at the end of the fourth round. Unlike most of us, McGregor did not miss the huge blob of spit discharged by 'Chito' and a snot rocket of similar magnitude released by Sandhagen.
Conor McGregor suggests that fighters be penalized for spitting or blowing their nose inside the octagon. The Dubliner wrote in since-deleted tweets:
"One gollier of a spit and two snot rockets each nostril just now from both fighters at end of the 4th. It's a ridiculous habit some people have. It should be abolished via threat of point deduction."
"There should be no spitting or snot rockets permitted in the octagon whatsoever. Should be a point deduction."
Cory Sandhagen delivered an MMA masterclass in his UFC San Antonio headliner clash against Marlon Vera. 'The Sandman' dominated Vera on the ground before picking him apart on the feet, only to earn a shocking split decision win.
Conor McGregor wants to hang up his gloves inside the UFC
Conor McGregor is currently coaching fighters on TUF 31 with Michael Chandler as his rival coach. The two are subsequently expected to meet in a welterweight clash on a yet-to-be-decided date and venue.
The Irishman was recently asked to weigh in on the exits of UFC superstars Nate Diaz and Francis Ngannou. McGregor believes Ngannou made an "error" and doesn't intend to commit the same mistake.
'The Notorious' is thankful for all the UFC has given him and plans to finish his career in the promotion. The 34-year-old said on The MMA Hour:
"What, to go out and do a little side quest, and seeking to get some boxing dollars and all the rest of it? No, for me — for me, the UFC is pinnacle and it’s the company I love. It’s a company, I wish to be with this company for the rest of my career. I hope we can continue.”

It should be noted that 'The Notorious' also brazenly declared himself the "future of this company" in a recent tweet.
