#2 Brian Ortega vs. Diego Lopes changed to lightweight bout at UFC 303
Before any fighter stepped onto the scales ahead of this weekend's card, Jon Anik announced that the co-main event bout between Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes had been changed from a featherweight to a lightweight contest.
According to multiple sources, including Ariel Helwani, 'T-City' notified UFC executives late in the evening of June 27 that he would not be able to make the 146-pound limit.
Lopes, who was awoken by the news at 3:30am on the morning of the weigh-ins, then agreed to a 155-pound (lightweight) bout instead so that their fight can stay on the card.

#1 Paige VanZant makes Power Slap 8 debut
Paige VanZant recently made her Power Slap debut at the Power Slap 8 event, when she faced Christine Wolmarans in a women's bantamweight clash,
Whilst VanZant has found success outside of fighting on social media, '12 Gauge' has also tested herself in multiple promotions and disciplines since leaving the UFC in 2020. She has stepped into both Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (0-2) and Misfits boxing, recently drawing against Elle Brooke on her debut.
All eyes were then set Paige VanZant as she stood across from Wolmarans, with the pair going the distance in an entertaining contest.
VanZant impressed with resilience, taking a total of four slaps and never once looking wobbled or phased by her opponent. After landing multiple slaps of her own against Wolmarans, which forced her to take a knee, the 30-year-old was handed the unanimous decision win (30-25x3).
