"Conor’s not gonna fight him" - Sean O'Malley claims he's biggest possible matchup for Ilia Topuria if 'El Matador' becomes UFC champion
Sean O'Malley recently took social media to reveal ambitions of challenging for the flyweight title. In a segment on his YouTube channel, 'Sugar' has claimed that he is the biggest fight for Ilia Topuria, other than Conor McGregor.
However, the bantamweight champion hinted that 'El Matador' doesn't have the necessary star power to secure a match-up against the Irishman:
"Who's a bigger fight than me [for Topuria]? Conor would be a bigger fight. Conor is not going to fight him. Conor literally doesn't know [you] [or] maybe he does."
Per the Montana native, a fight against Topuria is inevitable if the Spaniard claims the featherweight strap from Alexander Volkanovski:
"If he goes out there and beats Volk [Alexander Volkanovksi] and I go out there and beat 'Chito,' that fight is happening next. That's what's happening."

Earlier this month, O'Malley had revealed his featherweight ambitions in a tweet, showing his intentions to take on Topuria for the featherweight title. However, Topuria quickly brushed off the call out, claiming he would face McGregor after he wins the title.
The featherweight contender didn't stop there and blasted the American in a few follow-up posts. Topuria is scheduled to lock horns with Volkanovski at UFC 298 on Feb. 17 in Anaheim, while 'Sugar' will take on Marlon Vera at UFC 299 on March 9 in Miami, Florida.
Sean O'Malley speaks on a potential record Conor McGregor could set in his next fight
Conor McGregor is scheduled to fight Michael Chandler on June 29, during International Fight Week, and per the Irishman's New Year announcement, the fight is going to happen at 185 pounds.
While Sean O'Malley still suspects that 'The Notorious' is trolling fight fans with the weight category for the fight, he believes that there is a unique achievement to be had for the former two-division champion at 185 pounds. During one of his recent vlogs, 'Sugar' said:
"If he knocks out Chandler [at 185], he has knockout at [1]45, knockout at [1]55... Donald Cerrone knock out at [1]70, knock out at 185, that would be legendary."
