Cory Sandhagen shares bold prediction for potential Sean O’Malley fight
Cory Sandhagen and Sean O'Malley are arguably the two most technically gifted strikers in the UFC's bantamweight division. Given their respective skillset, many fans are excited about a potential clash between the pair, none more so than Sandhagen himself.
'The Sandman' believes he is a superior MMA fighter in every aspect of the sport when compared to O'Malley. The 32-year-old has previously expressed his desire to face off against the former champion, and recently shared a preview of what he believed he would do to 'Sugar'.
Sandhagen recently appeared on the JAXXON PODCAST, hosted by former UFC champion Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, where he discussed a potential clash with O'Malley. He said:
"There is no other fight to make, man. It's absurd that I haven't even been asked to fight him yet, in my opinion. It's the fight that everyone is asking for, there is really no better striking matchup that you can really make." [23:30-23:45]
The bantamweight contender continued:
"I really think that I would do what I want to O'Malley. He's a really clunky grappler, you can tell he does a lot more stuff with his jiu-jitsu coach than he does with the wrestling coach. That's not the way to go about modern MMA... He does really well against a certain type of striker... He has really big troubles with a 'mover'." [47:05-47:44]

Cory Sandhagen is a "more dangerous version" of Sean O'Malley, says T.J. Dillashaw
Former UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw, recently broke down a potential Cory Sandhagen vs. Sean O'Malley clash.
Having defeated 'The Sandman' at UFC Vegas 32 after a five-round war, Dillashaw knows all too well the skillset possessed by the 32-year old. As such, he predicted that Sandhagen would get the better of 'Sugar' in a potential contest.
Dillashaw recently appeared on the JAXXON PODCAST, where he said:
"I think [Sandhagen] pieces Sean up... I thought Sandhagen would have been a dope fight for [O'Malley]. But I think Sandhagen is just better at what O'Malley is good at, to be honest. He's just more dangerous. But O'Malley's got great feints... I would love to see that fight."
