Cris Cyborg reacts to Jon Jones' message after her PFL win over Larissa Pacheco

Cris Cyborg recently received words of praise from none other than the reigning UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones. After the Brazilian's impressive victory on Oct. 19, Jones uploaded a post on X, sharing how proud he was of the 39-year-old.

"I'm incredibly proud of Cris Cyborg right now. OG showing how it's done."

Cyborg took notice of the post and responded to it by hailing Jones as the 'G.O.A.T.' of MMA.

"Thank you Jon, you are the [goat emoji] and I appreciate this."

Cyborg locked horns against Larissa Pacheco in a five-round featherweight showdown at the PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants event. The clash graced the co-main event slot of the fight card, which took place at The Mayadeen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Cyborg outclassed her opponent for the majority of the fight. The contest eventually went the 25-minute distance and ended in a unanimous decision victory for the former UFC champion. All three judges scored the bout 49-46 in favor of the Brazilian.

With the victory, Cyborg captured the inaugural PFL Super Fights Women's Featherweight championship and extended her current win streak to 8-0. This run includes victories over names like Cat Zingano, Sinead Kavanagh, Julia Budd and Felicia Spencer.

Cyborg has had a long and illustrious career in MMA. She started her professional MMA journey nearly two decades ago in May 2005. The Brazilian has been a part of 31 professional bouts and has had her hand raised in 28 of them. Of Cyborg's 28 victories, 22 have come via finishes – 21 knockouts and one submission.

During her active days in the UFC, Cyborg was a force to be reckoned with. She was victorious in six of her seven UFC outings and defeated the likes of Yana Kunitskaya, Holly Holm and Tonya Evinger. After fighting Spencer in July 2019, Cyborg parted ways with the multi-billion-dollar promotion.
