Jake Paul jokingly blames Drake for his loss to Tommy Fury

In an example of further celebrity involvement with the Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury fight, Canadian musician and producer Drake bet heavily on the bout.

Drake used his sponsors Stake, a cryptocurrency-based betting platform, to wager $400,000 worth of Bitcoin on Jake Paul winning by knockout. The potential payout sat at a whopping $1,440,000. Fans lamented the infamous 'Drake Curse' that has plagued so many sporting events and athletes and this instance was no different.

Paul lost for the first time in his boxing career and was questioned about Drake's bet affecting him in any way. 'The Problem Child' jokingly played along before apologizing and promising to win the rematch for Drake:

“F**k. This is Drake’s fault! Drake, bro. Why you do this to me? Nah. Nah, it’s- it’s my fault. But four hundred thousand is nothing to him so. He’s won a lot more money betting on me before so he’s probably about even now. Sorry, Drake. I’mma get that W in the rematch.”
