Crowd boos Jake Paul after he pins Tommy Fury loss on health issues suffered during training camp
Moments after his split decision loss against Tommy Fury, Jake Paul seemingly irked the crowd in attendance at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia. During their respective in-ring post-fight interviews with Radio Rahim, both 'TNT' and Paul expressed their respect for one another.
That said, 'The Problem Child' proceeded to suggest that although Fury was the official winner of the fight, he didn't agree with the judges' scorecards.
Jake Paul noted that their fight was a great and closely-contested one. The YouTuber-turned-boxer gave props to the 23-year-old Fury. However, Paul insinuated that he was more deserving of the judges' nod. Furthermore, the 26-year-old claimed that he suffered several health issues during fight camp ahead of the Fury matchup.
The American cruiserweight revealed that he fell sick twice and injured his arm during his training camp. The crowd immediately began booing him, in response to which he clarified that he wasn't making excuses and will get back to his winning ways next time. Paul, a polarizing professional boxing star and MMA aspirant, vowed to avenge his defeat and stated:
"Honestly, I felt flat. I got sick really bad twice in this camp, injured my arm... It wasn’t my best performance, but I lost. I’m not making excuses. I’m just saying it wasn’t my best performance. I felt a little flat. And like I said, we’re gonna come back and get that W."
