Cub Swanson opens up about possibly retiring following UFC Tampa win: "I'm pretty happy"

Cub Swanson recently opened up about possibly retiring following his impressive win last Saturday at UFC Tampa. The MMA veteran turned back the clock with his performance and earned a third-round knockout over Billy Quarantillo as well as a post-fight bonus for Fight of the Night.

The 41-year-old was candid about his fight possibly being his last, however, he appeared to have mixed feelings after his knockout win. UFC CEO Dana White also addressed Swanson's performance during his post-event press conference by saying that he would honor the California native's wishes should he decide to fight again or retire.

During his latest appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, the 41-year-old reflected on his impressive knockout win and addressed whether he has made a decision regarding his career. Swanson mentioned that he is at peace following his win over Quarantillo, but kept the door open depending on whether any exciting opportunity presents itself:

"I've been feeling like [retirement] is close and I didn't want to put a stamp on it. One thing I did want to do is get my 30th win...I'm very confident right now, I'm very content on where I stand right now. We'll see if I get excited about something but for the most part, the way I'm feeling right now, I'm pretty happy. I think I can be done right now."
