Dan Ige sides with Khabib Nurmagomedov in his decision to leave MMA
Dan Ige has given his honest take on Khabib Nurmagomedov's announcement of his intention to leave the world of MMA.
Appearing in a recent interview with The Schmo, the featherweight contender believes that 'The Eagle' is well-deserving of a break from the sport after gifting his best both as a fighter and a coach to the sport of MMA.
Speaking to Schmo, '50K' had this to say when asked about his opinion on the Dagestani legend's decision:
"Yeah, I mean, he deserves it, man. He's... I feel like he's never really truly had a break. And, uh, if that's true, good for him and I hope he does because he's a good coach and he's got a bunch of killers and I don't wanna fight those guys."

Legendary Dagestani fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov made his professional debut in 2008. After fighting under several banners, he signed with the UFC in 2012 and went on to become the lightweight champion. He held the title for almost two years before retiring undefeated after his 29th fight at UFC 254.
Khabib's impressive career as a lightweight GOAT earned him a spot in the 2022 UFC Hall of Fame.
After retiring, he started his own MMA promotion, Eagle FC, and also became a mentor and coach to fighters at the American Kickboxing Academy. His guidance helped two of his proteges, Islam Makhachev and Usman Nurmagomedov, become world champions.
